We have a list of items that we MUST finish before we go cruising in the spring. One of them was to get the name of our boat, on our boat.
With the swim platform off and having access to a floating platform we thought this would be a good time to take care of this project.
There are businesses that will create giant stickers that spell out the name of your boat. These stickers are sandwiched between two pieces of wax paper. First you get everything aligned.
Then you leave the left hand side tapped to the boat as you fold the whole name back away from the boat like turning a page in a book. The bottom wax paper is removed exposing the sticky side of the bottom of the sticker. We then slowly and methodically adhered the stickers from left to right. The top piece of wax paper makes sure the stickers are spaced properly and they stay in alignment.
Once that is done you can remove the top piece of wax paper and you are done.
We decided on gold lettering for the name outlined in white. For the port of call we decided to just go with white lettering.
In the end the it came out great.
Now I need to make a swim platform and install it on the boat. Another must do item before we leave.
